The Detroit Three Presents: Umami in Corktown
Join us at St. Cece’s Pub in Corktown on Tuesday, July 9th, for an amazing night of food that will benefit two special programs; Cooking Matters and the Chef & Child Foundation. These two programs are instrumental in educating children and families about nutrition and healthy cooking on a budget. We will be presenting a 6 course, Pan-Asian prix fixe dinner, with two seatings at 6 and 8pm (cash bar provided by St. Cece's Pub), with the night's proceeds benefiting both Cooking Matters, and the Chef & Child Foundation.
Cooking Matters, through a series of special courses, teaches family members skills that will help them learn how to plan, purchase, and prepare healthy, tasty, and affordable foods at home—as they try to win the fight against childhood hunger, and protect children from the destructive consequences of poor child nutrition.
The Chef & Child Foundation educates children and families in understanding proper nutrition through community-based initiatives led by the American Culinary Federation chef members. They stand as the voice of the culinary industry in its fight against childhood hunger, malnutrition, and obesity.
Reserve your seats now for this special evening.
